Organizational Registration Agreement

Version $v*1

Registrants must accept the terms of this Registration Agreement in order to register a Global Organizational I-Name or I-Number in the GCS "@" registry.

Mandatory Registration Agreement Provisions

This agreement automatically includes the terms specified in the Mandatory Registration Agreement Provisions (Appendix L of the Global Services Specification at http://gss.xdi.org).

Common Terms for All Registration Agreements

By accepting this agreement, Registrant warrants that

  1. Registrant agrees to the GRS Dispute Resolution Policy (Appendix D of the Global Services Specification at http://gss.xdi.org) and the GRS Dispute Resolution Procedures (Appendix E of the Global Services Specification at http://gss.xdi.org).
  2. If the Registrant is registering a Global I-Name whose value exclusive of the GCS character is the exact string of characters constituting a fully qualified domain name (e.g., registering "example.com" as =example.com or @example.com), that the Registrant is the legal owner for this domain name or has obtained the registration rights from the legal owner. This includes top-level domains representing country codes.
  3. Registrant has appointed a Contact Agent and Contact Data Custodian for the purposes of receiving a notice regarding any dispute or other action regarding the Registration.
  4. Registrant has been notified of the right to appoint one or more Trustees for the Registration and that each Trustee has authorization from the Registrant to perform the functions of a Trustee.
  5. Registrant has been notified that if a Global I-Name includes characters or character combinations which are disallowed under a future version of the GSS, the Global I-Name Registration MAY be subject to revision or termination.
  6. Registrant agrees in the Registrant's own delegation capacity to support interoperability of XDI.org XRI addressing infrastructure by implementing technical enforcement of the GSS I-Name and I-Number Syntax policies for delegated I-Names and I-Numbers, and to ask Delegates to do the same.

Terms Specific to Organizational Registration Agreements

By accepting this agreement, Registrant further warrants that

  1. Registrant may assert intellectual property rights in the registered Global I-Name, and that the Registrant is responsible for any infringement of intellectual property rights by the registered Global I-Name.
