Survivability Policy
Version $v*1
@fullXRI inherits the Global Survivability Policy defined by XDI.org, and in addition publishes
its own Community Survivability Policy.
Global Survivability Policy
- GRSPs MUST use commercially reasonable procedures to protect GRS data from technical or
business failures, disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. These procedures SHOULD
include daily data backup, weekly off-site escrow updates, and the use of geograpically remote
data archival systems. GRSPs MUST enter into a data escrow agreement with XDI.org to provide
for reasonably foreseeable eventualities such as termination of business, acquisition of business,
or termination of the GRSP relationship.
Community Survivability Policy
In addition to inheriting the Global Survivability Policy, @fullXRI defines the following Community
Survivability Policy:
- @fullXRI uses commercially reasonable procedures to protect GRS data from technical or
business failures, disasters, or other unforeseen circumstances. These procedures
include daily data backups (both onsite and offsite). @fullXRI has entered into a data escrow agreement with XDI.org to
provide for reasonably foreseeable eventualities such as termination of business, acquisition of
business, or termination of the GRSP relationship.
- All transactions, correspondence and communications (successful or not) with the Global
Registry Services (GRS) are logged in a database for at least the length of the registration
contract.
- A separate database holds a "status quo" view of all currently active I-Names, I-Numbers,
I-Services and associated data.
- Backups of these databases are made on a daily basis.
Conformance
@fullXRI assures that this Survivability Policy is in conformance with the XDI.org Global Survivability Policy.
